About me
Kristina Brazhnikova was born in 1988, Voronezh (Russia). She graduated from Voronezh State Technical University. She started her career as a commercial photographer in 2010. In 2013 one of regional newspapers offered her a position as a photojournalist. In 2013-2015 she attended course “Photography as a research” at Fotodepartament.Institute (Saint-Petersburg, Russia). She participated in “Russian Reporter” Summer School (Class of Andrei Polikanov and Tatiana Plotnikova) in 2014. In 2016-2017 she attended course at the academy of photojournalism and documentary photography “Fotografika” (St. Petersburg, Russia). From 2016 she is working as a freelance photojournalist. Her works was published at Russian and international media. She took a pause in her career at the end of 2021 due to the birth of her son.
Kristina is a finalist of few Russian and international contests and festivals and a winner of The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest (single entry in “Sport” and series in “Contemporary Issues” nominations).
In 2023, Kristina moved to Porto with her family and returned to commercial photography. Her main focus is family photography in Porto, but she can also come to other cities in the North of Portugal, such as Espinho, Braga, or Aveiro. She loves turning everyday moments into lasting memories. Her photojournalism background helps her to work quickly and naturally while her clients can focus on enjoying their time together.
